Alan Frelix is the CEO of The Closing Exchange. Frelix has more than 25 years of experience in financial and business services and has spent the last 14 years in senior executive level roles in strategy and operations.
Most recently, Frelix was the Managing Director, Strategic Development for Stewart Lender Services, a division of Stewart Information Services Corporation (STC), where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategies, products and services to serve lenders.
Frelix also previously served as President of LandSafe Services LLC, a title and closing agency, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America, Senior Vice President, Title & Closing Executive for Bank of America, and Managing Director of Strategic Planning for Countrywide Financial. He is also a founding member of the Signing Professionals Workgroup, which sets industry standards for mortgage closings by signing agents.
Frelix holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Bantugan has more than 25 years of experience in financial and business services as well as management consulting. Bantugan's areas of focus have been on process improvement, customer experience, and M&A and integrations.
Previously, Bantugan served as a Principal for North Highland Consulting and worked on implementation and change projects for a Top 5 Bank along with numerous acquisitions, due diligence and integration projects. Projects included conducting valuation, due diligence, and integration for several transactions for a multi-billion dollar food service company, and leading the integration of multiple acquisitions for a financial services company.
Bantugan also previously served as Executive Vice President with Countrywide Financial Corporation and Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP where he led the delivery of large consulting projects to Fortune 500 companies, including business process re-engineering, technology implementations, and continuous improvement.
Bantugan earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine and holds an MBA from the Columbia University School of Business.
Shannon Seitzinger is the Chief Operations Officer of The Closing Exchange, responsible for the direction and oversight of vendor management, order management and customer experience. With over 25 years of experience, including positions ranging from loan processing, underwriting, funding, and retail and wholesale sales, Shannon has a thorough understanding of the mortgage industry.
In 2000, Seitzinger founded Notary Direct, a highly respected and successful mobile loan signing company. Over the years, Notary Direct grew to be recognized as one of the industry's best signing services companies. Notary Direct served some of the nation's largest lenders and title agencies and became the first signing services company certified to ALTA's Best Practices.
Rob Banhagel is the Client Management Officer of The Closing Exchange. Banhagel has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage lending, title and closing industry starting in 1992. This career journey allowed Banhagel to gain a unique 360 degree understanding of the entire lending process.
With this expertise, Banhagel started his first signing agency in 2001and most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and founder of Skye Closings. Established in 2009 and founded on a deep desire to improve notary and signing services for the mortgage industry, Banhagel created a national signing platform based on a robust network, current technology to drive the industry forward, and a strong focus on compliance. Banhagel was instrumental in the design, creation and implementation of the vendor management platform of Skye Closings.
